Dele is an accounting, audit, and finance professional with over 18 years of work experience that stems from the banking industry. He started his career with Sterling Bank Plc. as the Branch Admin Officer, where he served as the communication link between the branches in South-West Nigeria and the Head Office Admin. After two years within the same firm, he took on the role of Fixed Asset Officer in the Financial Control unit. This role gave him the opportunity to reconcile the fixed asset register, provide support in preparing the Monthly Profitability Report (MPR), and run monthly depreciation charges on fixed assets.
His career path in accounting continued at the Walan Hotel as the Head of Internal Audit and Accounts. In this role, he prepared the management account for management review and action, reconciled the cash position of the company, and reviewed and approved payroll. Shortly after this, he delved into the pension industry, joining Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited as an Internal Control Officer. Within the span of seven years, he provided support in the preparation of the board quarterly report, liaised with external auditors on funds and the company annual audit to ensure a seamless audit exercise, and monitored the investment limits on different funds.
Dele is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Administration (ACIA), a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and a student member associate of the Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA).
He earned a diploma in Financial Studies with Computer Application from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma.
